- Successful Lahore’s Blogger Meetup
Being a blogger, I have to be active in social media sites; I have accounts in Facebook, Twitter and in a few other networks. I have many friends on these networks but never met with anyone, few of them looks\ real friends because I talk with them regularly but never get a chance to meet them in real.
Yesterday I finally got a chance to meet with some of these friends in Lahore’s bloggers meetup at Dera, Qaddafi stadium Lahore. I really enjoyed this wonderful event and also met with some great bloggers. I always meet with few friends online but it was the first chance to meet with them offline. This event was organized by Hamza Sheikh and Ali Qayyum
It was a semi-professional meetup without any sponsors. There were around 40-45 bloggers, most of them were experts and medium level bloggers. This event was started by Ali Qayyum with a question-answers session. The best part of this event was motivation, and we got many new ideas and tips from others. In end of event Abdul Qadoos gave some free domains to newbie bloggers to encourage them to start their own blogs.
We read many tips daily but we get less time to implement them. This meet-up gave me a chance to see the faces behind many blogs which I follow regularly. Face to face tips give more inspiration & support. I believe in power of blogging and social networking. It helps us to get together and allows us to learn from others.
Here are few photos of meetup
If you have more photos, please email me at info@bilalsarwari.com
Here are few points which I want to highlight
I am not treating my blogs like a business. Even I have few excellent blogs but they are created only for learning purpose. I know how to be serious in blogging but implementation is important.
Where are my blogging skills? I need to define short term & long term plans. I need to understand blogging is not my end goal, earning money is not my target as there are many other things “I have to run my blog like a business” How can I make my blog different from others? I read few of the posts I wrote earlier to see whether my style has improved or not?
Overall I am happy with my blog but I don’t know my readers are happy with me or not? They are getting any benefits or not? I have many things in mind when I reached home. I agreed with most of the points discussed by other bloggers. I hope these meet-ups will continue in Lahore and elsewhere in Pakistan. Event organizers should introduce a new touch in Pakistani blogging filed by organizing events like this.
Please share what’s your target from blogging? And what did you learn from this meetup?

The Meetup is good step
well as per my understanding, one should blog for spreading knowledge as @Syed Balkhi doing and if you are a real time knowledge spreader your blog will be a knowledgebase for pro and noobs and will boost your organic traffic and business too. and 10 domain's were sponsored by my company Servingreseller.com hope pplz will enjoy their sites :)
Very good. I hope someday Rawalpindi bloggers will arrange a get together:)
Very nice Bilal Bro, I hope such events shall be organized in future.. It was very informative event... thanks to Hamza Sheikh and Ali Qayyum Bros...
Congrats Every one on successful meeting for bloggers. I missed it :(
First of all thanks for mentioning us on your blog. Actually, It was not a meetup at our end. We planned everything as get together. We didn't expect such response from the community in our first call, but thanks to everyone for coming and be a part of our free style meetup. One more thing, the members who came to attend the event was bit lazy, and they didn't ask much questions. even we had mentioned several times in event page that we will do Q&A, but no one asked us anything. But still love to few answers by others.
This meeting proved not only proved the strength of cyber world but also gave us motivation for betterment in all aspects. I am also agree with Hamza that such a marvellous response was unexpected. Better organization can yield better and more fruitful Q & A session. Hope for the best in near future as well.
i am really thankful all of you guys, all came in very short noticed! although i tried a lot of answering all friends queries.. as you knew , location was not properly for meetup.. it was just a fun .. IA , next time, we can arranged in proper location and share our views
